Tom D'Emic

Some of the happiest memories of my childhood involved water (salt water of course). I would be in the water all day playing with my friend Billy. My mother would watch me and monitor the color of my lips. When my lips started turning purple, I would have to come out for a while until I warmed up. Then I would head back into the water. This process would be repeated over and over again.

These days, I still can be found happily wading through the water. Now I am wearing hip boots, and I have my camera and tripod in the water with me. I hope the images that I am including here convey my appreciation of and connection to the places where the edge of the water greets the land.
